Mushala Musings: July 2017

4th of July weekend with our cousins the Zimmerman's

We love our. Chicago cousins. The Kids swam and jumped on the trampoline and played in the tree house that Josh built. It had a little bucket where they could pull up treats when they got hungry. We ate lots of yummy food and we went to two firework shows, one on the 3rd and one on the 4th. They also organized a birthday party for Stuart since they weren't able to come to his birthday on June 26th. Missy got him a little drone. Emily also did me and Thula's hair since she's in beauty school. She gave Thula blue high lights! Missy, Emily and I went out for dinner and had fun walking along the river walk in Naperville. The kids also spent the night at Missy's house one night and she took them out for breakfast, they also made Fourth of July hats.

Frog

There was a frog in our pool. He was so cute and croaking really loudly. I love nature.

Teacher conference at the Galt House Hotel

I went to my first teacher conference. It was so fun and I learned a lot. I can't wait to start using what I learned in my seminars. I feel so grown up! This picture was taken in the Skywalk overlooking downtown Louisville.

Happy 5th birthday Stuart

We had a family birthday at home where Stuart took his picture in front of a Power Rangers poster and we played pin the energem on the Power Ranger. He got lots of Power Ranger toys and some blocks. We also had lunch with the Perez's while Thula had her piano lesson. We love you little Stuart!

Summer fun

Hanging with the Perez's, swimming in our pool, going to the library, modeling Grandma Beatrice's backpacks that she sent with big Stuart when he went back to Zambia for his father's funeral.

Turtle

I found a turtle in our neighborhood and I brought it back for the kids to play with. We let it free by the pond.

Kentucky kingdom

We got Kentucky Kingdom passes this summer and we enjoy going several times a week. These pictures were taken while Thula was at Girls Camp.

Cute Thula

Thula collected rocks around our yard and painted them with cute sayings to hide them around at girl's camp. She is so cute and she really enjoyed her week at girl's camp. They went to O'Bannon State Park in Indiana.
