Santa Claus!

Thula told Santa she wasn't sure what she wanted. Lela asked for a my little pony and Stuart asked for a train. He didn't want to get off Santa's lap and he hung around to whisper in his ear and then he started crying when we pulled him away!

Happy Thanksgiving

Stuart's cousin Yuyi and family joined us all the way from Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving again this year. Pre-dinner photo. Everyone's favorite food was Michelle's sweet potato casserole, yummo!

The day after Thanksgiving we went to a race at Churchill downs.

Then we went to the Galt House for their Christmas activities.

Thula, Kobe, Elsie, and Lela are making snowflakes.

Lela wrote "Jeajus" in her heart.

Stuart loved the train ride! He rode it a several times and loved riding up front to ring the bell.

Photo op with the elves after their song and dance show.

On Saturday we went bowling. Thula!

Lela!

Me! I lost both games!;-(

Stuart bowling. He had so much fun and got really excited if he even knocked down one pin.

After bowling we made tacos at home and then Michelle and I went to the Oxmoor mall and went shopping and out for dessert. It was so fun. I'm so thankful for my family and extended family. xoxo

Spidey boy and coming of age

Stuart wearing his new spider man pajamas. I am sad though because they are already too small for him. I bought them awhile ago thinking he would fit into them for the winter but he is growing so fast. He's already wearing size 4 clothes and wearing size 12 shoes!

He was forcing Lela into the picture.
Thula has been asking for me to dye her hair for a couple of years now. She wanted blonde highlights and I said no. So she asked for a purple or blue hair streak in her hair. So I relented.

Here we are bleaching her hair in preparation for the purple hair dye.

Viola! I think it looks pretty and fun.

Here it is with her hair styled normally

and in a pony tail.

Rainbow

Prior to this spectacular rainbow we had had the wettest day. It rained so hard for several hours and caused some minor flooding. Then around 5 o'clock the clouds peeled away and we were witness to the most beautiful sunset. One of God's tender mercies.

I love the way the light changed so dramatically over a few minutes.

The next dawned so clear and beautiful. It reminded me of something the Reverend Mother used to say....

Turkey Trot

Lela's Turkey Trot at her school

Coming down the home stretch. She did really good! She'll be our runner.

Stuart loves playing with his friend Simon.

Sleeping boy

This cat loves perching on people when they sleep.

Afternoon siesta

Toys

Watching netflix cartoons on a Saturday morning.

Playing with his remote control car. He likes playing with it.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays we attend a free ymca preschool. He loves the gym.

We went for walk around the neighborhood and found this leftover Halloween mask. Dramatic!

Stuart's favorite thing to do at Meijer's grocery store! Worth every penny!

Autumn leaves

We raked all the leaves in the backyard into a big pile and had a blast!
