Do you see a little bunny home anywhere?

Peek-a-boo!

I told Thula she could hold the bunny with a glove on. When I was holding them they were riddled with ticks which quickly ended my fantasy of adopting them. 

So precious. The sad part is that we discovered all the bunny burrows while Stuart was mowing the lawn for the first time this year. He ran over some and quickly realized that our lawn was protecting several little burrows so the girls and I went ahead of him and found them before they met a gruesome end. 

Lela is my toy girl. She likes to put all her favorite toys together and play house. 

Happy 4th Birthday Lela!

On Friday we took the girls to Skyzone, a trampoline place. I thought it would be so fun, but Lela was terrified of it for the first 30 minutes and Thula was too shy to let loose at first as well. But after a while they had fun. 

They both liked the dodgeball areas the best. 

Lil' Stuart really wanted to jump too. Too bad. 

Sunday was the official day. Lela is wearing the dress I gave to Thula on her fourth birthday.  Fancy!

Thula drew a pin the tail on a donkey game and they had so much fun playing that. 

Even Stuart joined in the fun. He always really hams it up. :-)

Then we played a rousing game of balloon volleyball. Thula  is always a bit over competitive with that game. 

I have to mention that Thula is the one who set up all the streamers and balloons for Lela's birthday. She was so excited for Lela.

Playing with her new My Little Pony, Applejack. She only needs two more to complete her set. Maybe she'll  pick another one with her birthday money! (Thankyou Grandma Robin and Great-Grandma Elaine).  We also gave Lela two books, The Gingerbread Girl Goes Animal Crackers and Curious George's First Day of School. We played "Hot and Cold" with her gifts and she thought that was a fun idea.

After the cake and icecream I asked Lela what she wanted to do next and she said, "Take a bath in mommy's bathtub." They are still in there...two hours later!

Happy Easter

Thula's little notes to the Easter bunny.

The Easter goodies. Thula wrote in her note to the bunny that he should hide her basket really hard. Stuart hid it in a book shelf with cubby's. Of course she couldn't find it and got frustrated, so when she wasn't looking I showed Lela where it was and she 'helped' Thula to find it. We hid Lela's in the washing machine and Stuart's in his high chair. We also celebrated Easter a week later, so that daddy Stuart could be here to celebrate with us. It was nice because it was conference weekend and we could just relax together as a family without feeling rushed.

I liked this photo, because Lela loves to play with her barbies. In a very serious voice she asked Thula to take her picture of her with her barbie. It reminded me of this post that is floating around Facebook about kids from around the world being photographed with their favorite toys.

Spring is here

Easter egg hunt at church. Lela felt like wearing her princess dress for this activity. 

Stuart crawled around stealing all the kids candy. 

"Wrappers don't taste as good as they look!"

Stuart returned home from Zambia and brought us all clothes. Here is Thula modeling her dress. Pictures of the rest of us soon to come....

To fight jet lag Stuart soaked in the tub and Lela invited herself along. She was so happy to be with daddy. Just before he came home she asked, "Is daddy never coming back?"

Stuart LOVES fruit, especially berries. I love his little rabbit teeth. 

There is a little farm here in town with a menagerie of rescued animals. They have emu, ostritch, bison, water buffalo, a camel, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, deer, and elk. The animals are all very tame. We brought some snacks for the animals and had a good time walking around.

Playing at the park. It was such a warm day and I got my first sunburn of the year (when will I learn to put on sunscreen?!)
