Happy 11th Anniversary

For our 11th anniversary Stuart booked our family a room at the infamous Galt House hotel in downtown Louisville. Famous guests have included Jefferson Davis, Charles Dickens, Abraham Lincoln, and Ulysses S. Grant. We didn't stay in the 'old' part of the hotel, but we still felt fancy and liked looking at the city lights from our room.

Cheesy selfies!

Stuart gave me this wall hanging/quilt with the Salt Lake City temple on it. It was where we were sealed and below it it says, "Come What May" which was our wedding song.

The kids couldn't get enough of that window!

View of Stuart's office.

View of the waterfront park and the Muhammad Ali center.

Kid's Play

Stuart loves sleeping with his face up against the mesh of his pack n' play. It's so weird!

The empty toy box makes a great little bed/fort.

These two play pretty well together.

Thula loves making rubber band bracelets with her rainbow loom.

Bath time fun. Stuart loves taking a bath.

Lela likes doing this doing trick.

Stuart loves copying Lela.

Puss in Boots

Look at the whittle kitty cat in the tiny box. We can still see you Tabby!

Thula's new boots that she picked out. She looks so grown up!

Peek-a-boo Tabby. Now that it's winter time I've let the cats back in and they are so much fun!

Having fun playing with Grandpa's remote control helicopter.

We had two days of weather in the negative digits. The kids thought they would show me how tough they were. They didn't last long.

Happy New Year-2014!

Streamers and silly string

Mom says, "Take that silly string outside! But have fun!"

Watching the ball drop on the laptop (what else would we watch it on?!)

Happy New Year honey! Stuart broke character and suggested we go dancing at a local night club. The music they played was a mix of country and rap-not my favorite, but it was fun doing something different and to people watch.

Mall of America with Granny!

At the hotel with grandma Robin. Grandma suggested that we meet at the Mall of America after Christmas. I drove up to Chicago first and stayed the night at my cousin's house and then we left the next morning for Minneapolis. With stops for lunch and dinner it's about 13 hours to Minneapolis from Louisville.

Grandma took the girls swimming at the hotel pool every night and they loved that. Lela practiced swimming without her water wings.

At the dinosaur store at the Mall of America. Stuart liked the roaring dinosaur at the top of the display.

The hall of mirrors!

The girls found the exit!

Mini golfing.

Thula pretending to look middle eastern.

Waiting for grandma and Thula to come off the log ride.

Enjoying an ice cream cone. She kept begging me for one and finally she got her wish!

Enjoying lunch at the mall.

Riding the merry-go-round. Stuart liked it the first time with Grandma, but the second time with mommy he was screaming and crying. What happened to baby?

Chewing on his dinosaur light saber.

Grandma comforting little sad baby. He went right to sleep.

We had dinner at the Rain Forest CafĂ©. Stuart liked the gorillas and we liked the food. Yummy!

Good times!

Riding the balloon ride. Thula was a good sport and went on the kiddie rides with Lela, but she really wanted to ride those roller coasters!

Grandma took the little kids on the train ride.

Lela driving her bumper car.

Waving to grandma from the Ferris wheel. Stuart was to impatient to wait in line for the ride.

View of the theme park from the Ferris wheel.

Lela liked the Ferris Wheel the best.

Pretty Thula. She really likes wearing those scarves Aunt Rosie gave me!

Taking a break at McDonald's on the drive up to Minneapolis. Stuart made a bee-line for Ronald. The weather was cold, but clear and the kids were great travelers so that was nice for mommy!
