Fun days

Mustache fun

One of my favorite young women, Monica. She is of Sudenese heritage, born in a Kenyan refuge camp and raised in the US.

We finally got to go to Stuart's work! It was pretty inside and everyone Stuart works with was very welcoming to us. The girls were lapping up all the attention, until Lela became tired and then she was quite contrary.

At the top of the building looking out over the city.

Self shot to prove I was there too!

8 months old baby boy!

Look at me I'm trying to crawl away!

I can grab everything with my little grabby baby hands.

Eating something gross he just found in the carpet. I wish I could just munch on that face!

He has the exact same hair as Thula, fuzzy in the back, swirl, and curly on top.

He has been making this funny face a lot. He is such a little ham. He has made a lot of milestones this past week. First and foremost he sleeps through the night in his own bed in his own room (he's actually been doing this for a couple of weeks now)! I couldn't be more pleased (and well rested). He also learned to clap his hands, fake cry, scoot backwards, crawl on his tummy, and get his first top tooth.

What we've been up to in the new year.

The cat is so naughty. He is always sleeping on the baby's changing pad or in his crib.

Our one and only snow day.

Rub-a-dub-dub my kids in a tub

The Kosair circus. Some of the proceeds go to the children's hospital where Stuart was treated.  Lela and baby are wearing the shriner's hats.

Daddy was 'babysitting' and when I came home I found them in these little get-ups.

Everybody looked so cute for church, so I whipped out my camera and everybody knew what to do....except Lela.

There's my girl! I just love her new little poncho!

My dream of becoming I Love Lucy is complete. Thula told me I can't come to her school until I change my hair back. So it looks like being a red hed wasn't ment to be.

Sweet potato

Baby loves sweet potatoes!

First bath in the sink and it's a winner! I know it seems kind of late to have a first bath in the sink, but when he had his colostomy it was always much easier to stick with the routine of bathing him in my bathroom close to the changing table and supplies.

Snug as bug with daddy

Wearing his 'Leave it to Beaver' shirt or 'grandpa' shirt.

This kitty sleeps so cutely.

Both wearing their sleepers

Happy 7 months Little Brother!

Lela and Brother

Baby's first bath in the big tub.

Grandpa came to visit over Christmas and he's holding baby after his bath.

Lela made Stuart her barbie mobile.

Playing in the rain. She LOVES her rain boots and umbrella.

Going for a walk on a warm winter day.

The Yellow Scarf

Thula picked this scarf out at a flea market and the girls had fun playing around with it.

Her shirt says it all!
