Halloween Fun

For the ward Halloween Party Stuart went as a Luche Libre/Super Villain

This picture makes me laugh! What is going on here?

my pretty Lela

"I want a midnight snack, arghhh!!"

"An eeeevviiiillll gun?!"

My precious giraffe. On actual Halloween night I had him go as my precious honey-baby giraffe.

Lela went as Elsa. She is demonstrating her special ice powers.

Thula as a 'walker.' We went to the thrift store and found stuff for her to shred.

Not exactly two peas in a pod....

New Library and a pumpkin patch!

Our side of a town has a new library! It is so beautiful and I am so grateful for it. I plan on holding my book group here occasionally. I also asked if we could invite one of my favorite authors, Alexander McCall Smith, to come and speak. They already have a possible date for April. I am so excited!

Lela and her friend, Julio, in the children's section.

I love a good pumpkin patch. I found this one about an hour from my house near Ft. Knox. It was great.

Stuart was terrified of this big slide, but his big sis didn't care. Down you go Stuart!

The Hall kids and Thula and Lela.

Stuart liked driving trucks in the corn table.

These goats were so cute! Stuart and his pal Blake.

Thula's lips and a hay ride.

Corn maze. This was a big one it took us about an hour.

My little pumpkin harvesters. It was so beautiful out there.

Pittsburgh or bust

L to R: Stuart, Elsie, Briggs, Kobe, Thula and Lela

The Yuyi and Mushala families 2014

The weekend followig our Chicago trip we drove another 6 hours to Pittsburgh, PA for Kobe's baptism. We had a wonderful time reconnecting with Stuart's cousin, Yuyi, and his family. The kids loved playing together. Thula and Kobe liked playing sports and Lela and Briggs played imgainary games together. The grownups talked and ate and laughed! Yuyi treated us to some icecream at an old fashioned icecream parlour. Pittsburgh is a very pretty city.

Trip to Chicago

I'm not sure how he's watching the movie with those headphones on.

In September we drove up to Chicago to see my cousin Emily's daughter, Helena, get baptized. We also bought a mini van just in time for the trip! It's a 2006 Toyota Sienna. It comes with a dvd player which the kids loved.

There's the birthday girl, Helena! Josh and Stuart played an indoor soccer game.

Dowtown Chicago (Navy Pier)

The Boss in Chicago!

Lela and Keira are such good little friends.

We rode the ferris wheel and had a great view of downtown.

Lake Michigan is so beautiful.

Thula is on this swing somewhere....

I had my first deep dish pizza. It was great! I liked how they put the cheese underneath and the sauce on top.

Saying goodbye is always hard. We love our Chicago cousins.
